Frenchzinc TM "bare" mill finish zinc sheets

Product:

Frenchzinc TM sheets are the highest quality solid zinc, copper, and titanium alloy; your best choice for interior applications. With time, they will achieve a warm, aged appearance.

Installation:

Frenchzinc TM sheets can be laminated onto smooth, flat plywood or other wood substrates for interior use. Applications include bar and counter tops, kitchen cabinet facing and door covers, bathroom and restroom vanities and bases, window trim covers, lintel covers, door push and kick plates, signs and ceilings.

The sheets can be installed by any qualified millwork or cabinet shop, or by a qualified trim carpenter at the site. The technique for lamination is similar to that of applying plastic laminates, using contact cement that is compatible with zinc. Frenchzinc TM sheets can be routed to finish the edge, and/or curved to create a bull-nose condition. If seams are "butted" together carefully, the result is practically invisible. Frenchzinc TM sheets can be supplied in custom lengths so that seaming is eliminated. We strongly suggest that the installer construct a mockup for approval before actual work is commenced.

Frenchzinc TM sheets can also be hammered, sand blasted, lacquer finished, waxed, or most commonly, just left to age naturally. Care is simply to keep surfaces dry, and wipe with water and mild detergent. Stubborn stains can be cleaned with a scouring pad, however; this may bring the zinc down to its bare metal, so the aging process will again need to pass until the surface dulls down.

Note: Care must be taken to protect the zinc from materials that may be corrosive or that may cause a galvanic reaction as between dissimilar metals. Soldering is not necessary and should only be attempted under the supervision of an appropriate expert professional.

Caution: The purchaser and user assume full responsibility for the safe and proper use of this product. Please engage an appropriate professional familiar with all safety precautions for installation.
